The Furu Patch Pants draw from boro — the Japanese tradition of mending worn cloth, of finding beauty in repair. Clusters of fabric patches are applied across the legs in the sashiko style, each one stitched with dense running stitch over raw-edged cloth, building quiet texture into a garment that is entirely new.
Fragments of denim and woven cloth are layered and stitched together across the leg, each cluster a little different from the last. It is the kind of detail that reveals itself slowly, the longer you look.
On the back, a vintage Japanese woodblock-inspired illustration is applied on natural linen — a hand-stitched nod to Edo-period craft and the culture that gave boro its meaning.
The base is a straight-leg Japanese cotton denim with stretch — clean, high-waisted, and quietly structured. The denim holds its own without competing with the surface.
